Hafsar Tameesuddin (a.k.a) Me Me Kyaw – Country Coordinator (New Zealand)
Hafsar Tameesuddin (a.k.a) Me Me Kyaw is an activist and has been working with various organizations to end the sufferings of Rohingyas since she left from Myanmar.
Hafsar was born in Kyauktaw Township of Arakan State. She studied at the Sittwe University until 2005 and has earned Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English.
After arriving in Malaysia in late 2012, as She has completed some trainings specializing in children rights and protection, has worked as a trainer for refugee and child protection. She also worked as an interpreter and researcher in Malaysia.
She has spoken at various conferences, seminars and workshops while in Malaysia and after settling in New Zealand.
She is now based in Auckland. She speaks English, Burmese, Rakhine and Rohingya.
