His video of Burmese security forces kicking and abusing Rohingya villagers rapidly went viral and brought forth a rare admission of culpability by the Burmese authorities.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/spark.adobe.com\/page\/3UqDJHo31428O\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spark.adobe.com\/page\/3UqDJHo31428O\/embed.jpg?buster=1565296095475\" alt=\"Mir Ahmed Siddique\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Shabnam Mayet &#8211; Lawyer &amp; Activist<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Shabnam Mayet is a South African Advocate, based at the Johannesburg Bar. Her professional experience covers a range of legal matters. She advises both organisations and individuals on international human rights related issues.
